Oliver von Wolff is a Venture Capitalist and Venture Builder with experience in architecture and establishing regulated and unregulated investment products. Oliver is Founder and CEO of Helion Capital a Dubai DIFC regulated investment company for early-stage tokens and fintech-blockchain companies.

Prior, Co-Founder & Managing Director of Crypto Oasis, Managing Director MENA for CV Labs and CVVC Switzerland, an early-stage venture capital investor and blockchain ecosystem builder, headquartered in Dubai. Also, a Group CFO & Equity Partner of a global crypto asset management and blockchain-focused venture capital group and Managing Director of a joint venture with a stock listed equity company on the Xetra Frankfurt.

Oliver has over 15 years of management experience, as CFO and Co-Founder responsible for different start-up’s and management buy outs. He has a proven track record in company transformations in different industries and is well connected in Dubai and the GCC region.

Oliver holds an MBA in international management, degrees in economics and business and attended New York University to study international corporate finance.

With an abundance of global experience, Oliver has a strong understanding of various markets and industries, particularly throughout Europe and Middle East.

Ali is a seasoned finance professional with over a decade of experience spanning across capital markets, corporate finance, treasury and financial risk management. His career has taken him through a diverse range of financial institutions, private capital ventures and large corporates. Notably, Ali has been involved in large financing transactions, innovative shareholder return strategies, creation of tailored alternative finance solutions and oversight of a high-volume trading desk with annual execution activity exceeding $100 billion. Currently, Ali is the Chief Financial Officer at a leading asset management firm, DHF Capital S.A., and plays a vital role in shaping the financial direction and long-term growth strategy of the organization. Ali holds a degree from the University of Toronto and is a CFA Charterholder.

Bas is a successful entrepreneur and professional trader with a core background in finance and technology. Having successfully founded and sold a technology firm in 2015, Bas has focused his efforts on creating tools and building wealth for institutional investors and as a result co-founded DHF Capital. Bas is a published author, an active member of the Society of Technical Analysis and is a Certified Financial Technician at IFTA.

Tom Bicknell is the Head of Financial Services for Pinsent Masons in the Middle East.  

Tom advises payment services providers, blockchain networks, product issuers, financial institutions and government authorities on all aspects of their business throughout the region.  

Tom regularly advises on the structuring of complex fintech platforms including working with the UAE’s financial regulators to obtain the necessary approvals. Tom has been described as a ‘global expert on the regulation of virtual assets’.

Mohamed Albloushi is an experienced and dedicated UAE Dubai Government officer with 12+ years of experience in the field. Currently, working as a senior national investigator, he has in-depth knowledge in crisis intervention, investigation, crisis management, policy, and planning. He has excellent team leadership and management skills, and has impressive data analysis skills along with an eye for detail for problem-solving. He is an international investor in the United Kingdom, Italy, Soloman Islands, Bahamas, and Fiji amongst other countries. Lastly, he is the partner and chairman in a chain of 12 UAE local companies comprising of restaurants, investments, general trading, healthcare, and events.

Shameer Thaha is a serial entrepreneur turned business leader. He is the CEO (EMEA) and Global Chief Strategy officer of Accubits Inc. He is a published author and a speaker at global conferences. Shameer is an advisor at the Global Skill Development Council.

He completed his MBA from S P Jain School of Global Management and a bachelors in Computer Engineering from Kerala University. He has worked with corporations such as Infosys, Microsoft and has transformed businesses from concept to multimillion enterprises.

Sandi Bitenc is an accomplished serial entrepreneur and the CEO of 3air, working on bringing blockchain and DeFi to the next billion. His professional career in tech began when he was part of a hosting and domain registrar startup in his teens that went on to become the biggest in the Adriatic area. With leadership experience in the gaming, health, and crypto industry, Sandi is regularly invited to speak at prominent events in the blockchain, crypto, and African Tech space. Fun fact: he holds a world record in 24-hour apnea diving!

Valerie Hawley is the Director of Corporate Partnerships at the Sorbonne Centre for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI), in Abu Dhabi. Her expertise lies in advising companies on their disruptive innovation strategy by developing use cases and competencies in AI related technologies.
Valerie brings over 12 years of experience in disruptive innovation: first as an entrepreneur; second, in her leadership role in setting up the digital innovation and entrepreneurship program at HEC Paris; and third, in her previous role as the head of innovation at Daman. Currently, she is a General Partner in True Global Ventures VC fund.
